As another incredible school year comes to a close, we want to thank every student, staff member, family, volunteer, and community partner who made this year so special.
At St. Albert Learning Centre, we celebrated milestones, welcomed new beginnings, watched dreams become reality, and witnessed the power of perseverance every single day.
From first credits to diplomas, new careers to personal victories, we couldn’t be more proud of what our students accomplished.
To our graduates—congratulations once again! To our returning students, we can’t wait to see what you’ll achieve next year.
And to our amazing staff—thank you for leading with compassion, patience, and a belief in every learner.
We wish everyone a summer filled with rest, laughter, sunshine, and time with the people who matter most.
📅 Planning for September?
Our office will reopen for registrations (those 18 years and older) on Monday, August 24, and we look forward to welcoming students back for the first day of school on Tuesday, September 8.

While many schools are winding down for the summer, the PEACE Pens & Beyond Business is still going strong!
Today, we celebrate one of our talented and hardworking students who recently completed an order of 150 customized wooden spoons.
From start to finish, he took on the challenge with determination, attention to detail, and pride in his work. He had a goal, a plan, and the perseverance to see it through.
With this major order now complete, he’s already looking ahead and turning his focus to creating inventory for the fall season.
Experiences like this are about so much more than the finished product. They build confidence, problem-solving skills, responsibility, and an entrepreneurial mindset that will serve students well long after they leave our classrooms.
At St. Albert Learning Centre, we’re proud to provide opportunities for students to discover their strengths, develop workplace skills, and experience the satisfaction that comes from turning hard work into success.

Last Friday, our St. Albert Learning Centre team had the opportunity to participate in an incredible PA Day at Cambrian College focused on skilled trades, technology, STEM, and apprenticeship pathways. The day provided valuable hands-on learning experiences and new ideas that will help us continue creating meaningful pathways to success for our students.
A special thank you to our Secondary Consultants for organizing such a thoughtful and engaging day.
We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to Cambrian College, a valued and long-standing community partner. Not only did they host an outstanding day of professional learning, but they also surprised us with a generous $1,000 student bursary that will be awarded at our June 24 Graduation and Student Recognition Celebration.
As an added surprise, every staff member received a personalized YETI tumbler—a thoughtful gesture that made everyone feel appreciated and valued.
Thank you, Cambrian College, for your continued partnership, generosity, and commitment to supporting both educators and students. We are proud to work alongside organizations that believe in creating opportunities and brighter futures for all learners.

A huge thank you to Angela for once again volunteering her time to support our students!
Today, Angela shared her culinary talents by teaching our students how to make fresh pasta from scratch.
From mixing and rolling the dough to creating their own delicious creations, every student had the opportunity to make and enjoy their very own bowl of homemade pasta.
Experiences like these provide valuable hands-on learning opportunities while helping students build confidence, life skills, and a sense of accomplishment.
Thank you as well to our dedicated education team for helping facilitate this engaging learning experience and making the day such a success.
We are grateful for community members like Angela who generously share their time, talents, and passion with our students! ❤️

On June 4, several St. Albert Learning Centre students were recognized at the Aboriginal Secondary School Awards held at the Caruso Club.
This annual celebration, organized in partnership with the United Way, N’Swakamok Indigenous Friendship Centre, Sudbury Catholic District School Board, and Rainbow District School Board, honours the outstanding achievements of Indigenous students from across Sudbury and Manitoulin.
At St. Albert Learning Centre, one student from each program who had not previously received the award was selected for this special recognition.

Recently, a Nonna (grandmother) of a student at Pius XII visited St. Albert Learning Centre with her son to purchase plants for a Learning Support (LSC) classroom project. During her visit, she shared that the classroom was looking for donations of plants to help create a welcoming learning environment for the students.When our students heard about the need, they didn’t hesitate. They knew exactly what they wanted to do, they donated plants to help support the project at our sister school!Later this afternoon, the principal of Pius shared photos of the students hard at work planting. To our surprise, we spotted one of our own PSW students in the pictures, completing her placement at the school. How amazing to see our students supporting younger learners in multiple ways; through generosity, community service, and hands-on placement experiences.We are proud of the kindness and community spirit shown by our students. Today, we celebrate the people, cultures, communities, and natural beauty that make Ontario a wonderful place to live, learn, and grow.
At St. Albert Learning Centre, students reflected on the theme “What Ontario Means to Me” through artwork that showcases the places, symbols, wildlife, and experiences that make our province unique. From loons and forests to campfires, lakes, city skylines, and the Canadian flag, our students captured their personal connections to Ontario through creativity and imagination.
Ontario is home to over 250,000 lakes, the iconic White Trillium, the Common Loon, and diverse communities that contribute to the rich history and culture of our province.
Today’s student artwork reminds us that Ontario means something different to each of us, yet we are all connected by the places we call home.
We are proud to showcase some of our students’ Ontario Day entries and celebrate the creativity, talent, and perspectives they bring to our school community.
