Dear Students, Parents, and Community Members,
On behalf of the entire staff, it is my privilege and honour to welcome you to our school’s website. We are more than just an educational institution; we are a community that embraces the motto “Success for Each…A Place for All.”
Rooted in our Catholic values, we strive to nurture the holistic development of our students, guided by the Catholic Graduate Expectations.
Through our programs and activities, we aim to instill the values of faith, compassion, respect, and integrity. We encourage our students to become lifelong learners who seek truth, think critically, and engage actively in their communities. We foster an inclusive and supportive atmosphere where diversity is celebrated, and every individual is valued for their unique talents and contributions.
Our PEACE Pens business is where our students learn life skills and earn credits simply by running our school business. Our students develop leadership skills, collaboration, and a sense of responsibility towards the community. Through this experience, they learn to be effective communicators, problem solvers, and ethical decision-makers, aligning with the expectations set forth by our Catholic faith.
Our renowned Personal Support Worker Program also exemplifies the Catholic Graduate Expectations. As students gain knowledge and expertise in the field of healthcare, they are encouraged to cultivate empathy, compassion, and a commitment to serving others. We strive to empower our students to make a positive difference in the lives of those they care for, embodying the values of respect, dignity, and justice.
Further, we are also excited to offer Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) for Mature Students, which offers eligible learners an opportunity to earn secondary school credit equivalencies for their relevant education, employment, and life experience. Graduation is closer than you can imagine!
Also, we are delighted to announce our participation in the Skills for Success Pilot Project, initiated by Employment and Social Development Canada. Starting in September 2023, we will be offering three 8-week training programs designed to enhance our student’s employment prospects and promote career advancement. The programs: The Cleaner, The Retail Sales Associate, and The Cook’s Helper, will equip our students with the necessary skills to secure a job, advance in their current position, or explore new career opportunities. Our programs have been specifically developed to cater to individuals with low literacy and numeracy skills. We firmly believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to become an active and successful member of our community, regardless of their starting point.
