Class Times / Format

Students learn at their own pace assisted by classroom teachers in a supportive and caring environment. You will be given your course materials and are expected to work in the assigned classroom. You will be studying with about twenty other adults each working at their own rate in his/her own subject level.

There are three periods a day Monday to Friday:

8:45 am - 10:30 am
10:45 am - 12:15 pm
1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Students over the age of 21 may attend one period per day while students under 21 must attend the full day.
 

Under 21 / Continuing Education
Students pursuing an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) are split into one of two streams depending on their age on or before December 31 of the current September to June school year. Students who turn 21 on or before December 31 qualify for the Under 21 Program, which includes a transportation allowance. Older students work towards their diploma in the Continuing Education program. Each program has it's own separate classrooms and teachers.
 
Presentations
From time to time, presentations are made for the benefit of St. Albert Adult Learning Centre Students. They range from public health workshops to college program presentations. Students are welcome to join if interested.
