St. Albert Adult Learning Centre offers the opportunity
for all students to access Co-operative Education. This allows
students to earn non-compulsory credits towards the Ontario
Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). This can be delivered through
on-site delivery or twinned with correspondence delivery of
compulsory credits.
For students who do not possess an OSSD but are who are employed,
and wanting to pursue an apprenticeship in an trade requiring
a grade 12 diploma this approach allows them to continue employment
and gain access to an apprenticeship registration under the
Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP).
This is a fantastic opportunity for those who are short a
few credits towards the OSSD to reconnect with educational
partners. If you are interested in finding out more about
this Program please contact: Michel Grandmont, OYAP Coordinator
at 673-5620 ext. 260. A complete evaluation of your current
transcript will allow us to recommend the appropriate course
selection. For more in-depth information about OYAP please
